SBLIST OCX 3.0
SBList OCX is a very fast, much enhanced list box suitable for all 32-bit versions of Visual Basic, and virtually all other applications able to host ActiveX controls. It incorporates most of the functionality of the standard Windows list box, plus in excess of 50 more features.
You have complete control over the formatting of the text within each list item, allowing you to change the font, and its color and appearance. Images may be placed in list items too. It is easily possible to display list items in columns, complete with grid lines if required, and to access each ‘cell’ individually. The text within each list item can also be allowed to change as the cursor moves over it, giving them an appearance similar to hyperlinks in web browsers.
With SBList 3.0 it is possible to display a background ‘watermark’ image within the list box, which stays statically placed even during scrolling. Like your Windows desktop, this image may be tiled or centered.
SBList doesn’t just add incredible visual features, it has many extra functions to make using the contents of the list box easier to deal with. It is possible for you to assign extra hidden text to each item, in addition to the long integer ‘ItemData’ value of the standard list box. You can sort the list based on either the visible text, this extra ‘ItemText’ or the ItemData numeric value. The contents of the list may also be saved and loaded to file if required, enabling the list to be filled very quickly if necessary.
